About Me

Melissa: Hi everyone, this blog was created to document my preparations before I leave for Karamoja Uganda in 2012 and for while I am there as well. I want to keep everyone updated on what is going on, the encouragements i just have to share and for any struggles I am having as well so that you can be continually praying for me. I am so excited to be joining the Christian Veterinary Mission team also affiliated with Called Christians(CC)partnering with Karamoja Christian Ethnoveterinary Program(KACHEP), and Pioneers International(PI) of Miriam and Tom and Jean Reed. My motivation for this journey is best explained by the following: "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”" Romans 10:13-15
